If you'd like to go out after training day, here are places to eat near the MIT Museum:
On Massachusetts Ave., to the left as you leave the museum:
Olive Tree Cafe - Middle Eastern. Hummous, falafel, killer baklava.
Chicago Pizza - Pizza. Huge slices, interesting flavors. Try the feta or the chicken pesto. Salad, subs.
Across the street from the museum:
Sunny's Diner - Small, diner food. Good coffee. Get the Sunny's Special, it's the cheapest breakfast you'll find. Behind the Sunoco station.
Thailand Cafe - Good, inexpensive Thai food. Entrees come with soup. Try the Thai iced coffee, pad thai, or the lemongrass chicken.
On Massachusetts Ave., to the right as you leave the museum:
Miracle of Science - "MIT-grads-turned-restaurant-owners". Very good burgers (veggie or real), salads, nachos. The menu is a variant of the periodic table of the elements...(what did you expect?)
Desi Dhaba - Excellent, inexpensive buffet. The local Indian community raves about it. Next to La Luna.
La Luna Caffe - Think Italian tratttoria fast food. Pannini sandwiches (try the Caruso), coffee, great desserts. Next to Desi Dhaba.
Closer to Central Square:
Mary Chung's - REALLY good Chinese food. Fast, cheap (CASH ONLY!) and large selection of things you might not normally see. Across the street a few blocks down towards Central Square.
Rangzen (down Massachusetts Ave. and left on Pearl Street – 5 minutes) - Tibetan buffet. Small but truly excellent, fresh. Inexpensive.
Behind the Museum on Main Street, there are several other restaurants, including Royal East (Chinese), Stefani’s Pizza, Bertucci’s, Border India.
