Charles Morrill Baker

Charles Baker's use of chiaroscuro and monotint rendering techniques gives this elevation a striking graphic character. While Baker did not go on to practice architecture, deciding instead to join his father's brokerage firm, he never lost interest in the welfare of MIT's Department of Architecture and contributed both time and money to its needs.
