life through the lens of a MIT physics graduate student from Slovakia
(updated weekly)
a quick glance through what I do: three favorite photos each month
(updated monthly)

Being paid for the first time in my life (as a grad student),
I finally bought my first "serious camera" in September 2003
and haven't stopped carrying it around since. My initial goals
were to learn to use it, to use it well and to make my friends happy with my photographs.
I do street photography, nature macros, candid portraits, an occasional friends' wedding...
still looking for a focus, overjoyed from looking at the world.
However, I strive to make photos that I (and others) would want to look at again and again.
My long-term goal is to take three photos every
month that I would be proud of.
Looking at good photos is a pleasure. I have thoroughly enjoyed the work of
Elliot Erwitt, Ernst Haas, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Harry Callahan
in the MIT library during these 4.5 years I've been photographing and I am very glad I discovered them for myself.

I am reworking my portfolio these days. Please, be patient with me.
