It is early morning, the sun rises, and 700 Redcoats are marching through Lexington
to capture the arms warehouse in Concord. Drums, pipes, all that... They are quite confident.

The shot heard 'round the world is to be heard soon! However, not seen. There was such a crowd,
that we couldn't make it to the action, surely not without a ladder :-) Next time I'll wake up before 4:15,
and make it there on time! Maybe... By the way, we biked there with Jeff and Stephen.

Paul Revere rode in the night from Boston, bringing the news about the English soldiers.
The minutemen were called together and prepared the first resistance. The result? The redcoats
rolled over them on the Lexington battlegrounds, and continued on their march towards Concord.
The battle itself took just a while... Here are the minutemen, saluting their dead comrades.

A little more of the Redcoats. What I really like about the approach to history is,
that the actors stay there after the event, telling the history to all who want to listen...

continue to part II.
