My
project sought to explore an inspired methodology of urban planning and creative
process developed by Lawrence Halprin in the late 1960s. Halprin defines scores
as “symbolizations of processes which extend over time” (RSVP Cycles,
1). Scores, process-oriented events, act as a vehicle for involvement, for deep
engagement with a creative collective. They make process visible and thereby
enable design via process.
The main sources for the project are Halprin's books RSVP Cycles and
Taking Part.
