The monkeys built a bridge of stones across the sea, to help Rama cross
over to Lanka. The monkeys and Ravana's demons then engaged in a bloody
war that resulted in heavy casualties for both sides.
Distressed by the bloodshed, Rama stopped the fighting, and challenged
Ravana to one-on-one combat. Finally, after a fierce battle, Rama aimed
a powerful arrow at Ravana's belly and killed him.
Rama and Sita were then united and they went back to Ayodhya, where Rama
was crowned king.
