Feburary 2012: Produced and directed by McFarland & Pecci, I got featured in a beautifully done video, released right as I entered the 2012 American Beatbox Championships! Stay tuned on that one...videos up April 2012, hopefully making it to the final live competition in NY on Aug 11.

January 2012: Exciting times with a CNN feature. It turns out that 10 minutes after a big performance (TEDMED in this case) is a great time to do an interview; in that weird state of post-adrenaline high, there sure aren't any feelings of nervousness or inhibition left over.
-- January 2012, recently posted on youtube! in October 2011 I got the wonderful opportunity to speak and perform at the TEDMED conference. I underwent a laryngoscopy live onstage to show the inside of my throat while beatboxing. fun fact: to not throw up during the laryngoscopy, I had to have anesthetic applied ahead of time. so during whole talk and performance, most of my mouth, nose and throat was numb. not the easiest set of conditions to perform under, but I did it for science. |
