This electronic workbook is intended to aid the graduating MIT student through the process of negotiating the best possible job, with the best possible characteristics, including salary and benefits.
The goal of this site is to help you master a process. The negotiation tools covered in this workbook are discussed relative to job and salary negotiations, but can easily be applied to any future negotiation the student may encounter.
These tools are life tools.
How To Use This Workbook
This electronic workbook has been designed for a spectrum of users - from the student who has just started to consider job negotiations, to the student who is down to the tenth and final round. The beginner can skim through the first layer of pages and get an idea of what the issues are, while the seasoned negotiator can dive into the details of a particular situation.
Negotiating Your Future was designed to be used on an Athena workstation, using Netscape.

Thus, to make this workbook work for you, we need your input. At the end of each section, there is an opportunity to send any questions, comments or suggestions that you may have. Our team will start working on your questions as soon as we receive them.
