It is a great pleasure to announce the NEH Summer Seminar for College Professors on “English Encounters with the Americas, 1550-1610," to be held at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts July 5-29, 2011. This seminar will consider primary sources on Anglo-American contact in these early decades through an interdisciplinary lens, using evidence and methods from several different disciplines.
