IT Security Team

Overview

The Information Security Team works in collaboration with the entire MIT community in ensuring the availability, protecting the integrity and maintaining the confidentiality of its IT resources. The team provides support for and education on how to prevent, detect and respond to unsafe computing practices.

At its best, information and network security is a shared responsibility amongst members of the Information Services & Technology (IS&T) department, management and technical staff in MIT's departments, research labs and centers, along with every member of the MIT community who use computers and MIT's network in pursuit of their daily activities.
