MEDIA LAB EXTENSION
Preparation for a temporary loading dock on Ames Street will require removal of some trees. They will be relocated on campus or returned to their original locations once the new building is completed.
LOBBY 7 RESTORATION
Cleaning of the upper dome is 90 percent complete. To minimize the impact of the wet cleaning operation on vertical surfaces and columns under the dome, work will take place from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Interior scaffolding will remain in place, awaiting delivery and installation of the new skylight. Finish work will then take place on the interior glass on the underside of the dome. Construction is also under way at the lobby's exterior entrance to repair the cracked limestone facade. Scaffolding may affect pedestrian traffic.
BUILDINGS N51 AND N52
Construction continues on the facade and interior renovations of both buildings. Windows are being replaced in Building N51, while the fourth floor of N52 is undergoing a complete renovation. Interior renovations are also taking place on the first floor.
For approximately the next five weeks, deteriorating mortar joints on the building's exterior will be replaced. The area most affected by the construction (scheduled for 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) will be the enclosed parking lot between buildings 3, 1, 5 and 7. Mortar grinding will generate noise and dust.
VASSAR STREET UTILITIES
Truck and machine work may limit parking and travel along Vassar Street. Noise in several areas will be generated from machinery, truck backup alarms and jackhammers.
MASS. AVE. STORM DRAINS
While catch basins are installed and a water main is relocated, access to the parking lot at the corner of Vassar Street and Massachusetts Avenue will not be available on the Massachusetts Avenue side; vehicles may enter from Vassar Street. Pedestrians will be able to access the Fleet ATM branch from either side.
Installation of formwork, reinforcing steel, embedded plumbing and electrical conduit are continuing. Truck activity could disrupt vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
The placement of concrete may generate noise and affect vehicular traffic. Two-way traffic in front of the project continues in narrowed lanes.
SPORTS AND FITNESS CENTER
Increased use of movable cranes and concrete delivery may result difficult access to the Johnson Athletic Center and Kresge Auditorium.
Corridors will be blocked at the bridge to Building 56, requiring pedestrians to use either the floor above or below the work area. To ensure safety during construction on the connection bridge, pedestrian traffic will be rerouted, with signs showing these alternate routes.

The final steps in the renovation may cause noise and dust affecting the building's residents.
70 PACIFIC ST.
Work in creating utility connections may result in dust, mud and noise. Traffic may be affected as steel is erected.
