An algorithm that can accurately gauge heart rate by measuring tiny head movements in video data could ultimately help diagnose cardiac disease.
Some 35 MIT researchers presented talks on everything from the construction of new super-deep tunnels in Europe to nuclear fusion as an energy source at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The meeting was held Feb. 14-19 in Boston. Following are stories about some of those MIT talks.
