Tony Hayward, the CEO of BP, will discuss the tough policy and investment choices involved in navigating toward a lower-carbon world during remarks at the MITEI Colloquium on Thursday, Oct. 29.
How will the energy mix evolve in transportation and power generation? What technologies are available? What actions can governments take to create the right framework for a sustainable future? Hayward will stimulate an informed policy debate in an area where half-truths and misinformation too often hold the field. Hayward, a member of the MIT Energy Advisory Board, will speak from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. in 10-250.
The event is free and open to the public; a reception will follow in the Pappalardo Room, 4-304.
