This year's celebration of the life and legacy of MLK, titled "Excellence is a Shared Path: Working Together for Justice and the Quality of Life," will begin at 7:30 a.m. in Morss Hall, Walker Memorial, 142 Memorial Drive, Cambridge. Seating is limited for the event, and community members must register by 5 p.m. on Feb. 5 at http://web.mit.edu/mlking/ in order to attend.
Martin, one of the most high-profile African Americans in media today, appears frequently on shows including The Situation Room, Anderson Cooper 360°, Lou Dobbs Tonight and more. His thoughtful perspective on American politics has earned him much recognition, including the 2008 NAACP Image Award for Best Interview for "In Conversation: The Barack Obama Interview."
