Roland Martin — an award-winning journalist, political analyist and CNN contributor — will deliver the keynote address at MIT's 37th annual Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast, taking place on Wednesday, Feb. 9.
This year's celebration of the life and legacy of MLK, titled "Excellence is a Shared Path: Working Together for Justice and the Quality of Life," will begin at 7:30 a.m. in Morss Hall, Walker Memorial, 142 Memorial Drive, Cambridge. Seating is limited for the event, and community members must register by 5 p.m. on Feb. 5 at http://web.mit.edu/mlking/ in order to attend.
Martin, one of the most high-profile African Americans in media today, appears frequently on shows including The Situation Room, Anderson Cooper 360°, Lou Dobbs Tonight and more. His thoughtful perspective on American politics has earned him much recognition, including the 2008 NAACP Image Award for Best Interview for "In Conversation: The Barack Obama Interview."
