Trancik’s work focuses on accelerating the discovery and scaling of new energy technologies aimed at mitigating climate change.
The year-long 2011 Science and Public Leadership Fellows program begins with a leadership retreat at the National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C. The fellows then present their work at the PopTech 2011 conference, taking place October 19-22 in Camden, Maine. The talks will be available on the PopTech website following the conference.
PopTech is a non-profit organization aiming to “accelerate the positive impact of world-changing people and ideas and foster unconventional collaborations that tackle some of the world’s most significant challenges and lead to real and lasting change.”
