Defining the future of supply chain management

Defining the future of supply chain management

MIT’s Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL) is holding its ninth annual Crossroads conference, titled "SCM as Future Enabler," on Wednesday, June 26 in the Tang Center's Wong Auditorium (E-51). This event focuses on issues that are at the crossroads between supply chain and corporate strategy, and has become the supply chain community’s most important forum for new ideas.

When CTL was founded 40 years ago, trade between the United States and China was non-existent and the first IBM PC was eight years away. Fast forward to 2013 and innovations such as cloud computing are transforming businesses at a frenetic pace.

Supply chain management (SCM) is the critical bridging function that connects companies with these innovations and prepares them to compete in changing markets. How is the profession responding to the challenge?

Registration is free for the MIT community, but participants should register in advance.
