Lemelson-MIT Program seeks nominations for 2011 awards
August 10, 2010
The Lemelson-MIT Program seeks pioneers who are making a positive impact through their inventions. We invite you to nominate colleagues or fellow innovators in your industry for the 2011 Lemelson-MIT Awards.
A winning nomination will raise awareness and recognition to both the nominator’s and the nominee’s company. We encourage nominations of individuals working in private industry, women and members of under-represented groups.
The 2011 Lemelson-MIT Awards for Innovation include:
- $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize (http://web.mit.edu/invent/a-prize.html), which honors an outstanding mid-career inventor who developed a patented product or process of significant value to society, which has been or has the potential for adoption;
- $100,000 Lemelson-MIT Award for Sustainability (http://web.mit.edu/invent/a-award.html), which recognizes individuals whose work enhances economic opportunities and community welfare in developing countries
