Creating High Velocity Organizations
February 4, 2011
The MIT Sloan School of Management announces the launch of a new open enrollment program, Creating High Velocity Organizations, designed to introduce participants to the fundamental principles by which a select few organizations achieve and sustain exceptional levels of performance, and give them the opportunity to apply those principles to their own work.
The program is led by Steven Spear, five-time Shingo Prize winner and author of the critically acclaimed book The High-Velocity Edge: How Market Leaders Leverage Operational Excellence to Beat the Competition. Scott D. Cook, founder and chairman of the executive committee at Intuit, Inc., says of Spear and his work, “Some firms outperform competitors in many ways at once — cost, speed, innovation, service. How? Steve Spear opened my eyes to the secret of systemizing innovation: taking it from the occasional, unpredictable ‘stroke of genius’ to something you and your people do month-in, month-out to outdistance rivals.”
The first session of the program will take place March 8-9 at MIT. Information about the program can be found on the MIT Sloan Executive Education website.
