On Thursday, Feb. 24, Dr. Ian Tattersall, curator at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, will give a talk on human evolution at 11 a.m. in Room 4-370. The event is free and open to the MIT community.
His talk, titled "Becoming Human," will trace the major events in human physical and cognitive evolution over the last 4-plus million years, with an eye toward the question, "how and when did we become fully human?"
Tattersall, a paleoanthropologist, is one of the world's leading experts on the fossil record of our early ancestors and the development of modern humans.
