Simons Center for the Social Brain kickoff workshop
February 17, 2012
You are invited to a two-hour kickoff workshop for the new Simons Center for the Social Brain (SCSB) at MIT on Friday, Feb. 17, from 3-5 p.m. in Building 46, Singleton Auditorium (46-3002).
The center’s goals are to develop MIT-wide programs on genetics and gene discovery, mechanisms and models, cognitive neuroscience, and translation and therapeutics. MIT can contribute uniquely to understanding autism and related brain disorders, through the development of novel tools and technologies and advancing new computational and theoretical approaches.
The SCSB will provide new funding opportunities, which include seed research grants, postdoctoral fellowships, predoctoral fellowships and UROP funding. Descriptions of these grants are available on the center's website.
