The Seventh Annual MIT Energy Conference will take place on March 16-17, 2012 with this year's theme of "Insight and Innovation in Uncertain Times." The MIT Energy Conference brings together leaders from industry, academia, government and the investment community to deliver critical knowledge and independent analysis on emerging trends in energy technologies, policies, and markets. The MIT Energy Conference has become the premier energy conference of its kind and remains entirely run by MIT students.
Friday, March 16, features topic-specific discussions, a fireside chat with Mark Vachon, vice president of GE ecomagination, and an Energy Showcase exhibiting the latest research and technologies in the energy space. Friday events are free and open to the public.
Saturday, March 17, is the ticketed portion of the conference and will feature welcoming remarks from MIT President Hockfield, focused and fact-based panels in relevant energy topics, and a keynote address by Marvin Odum, president of Shell Oil Company.
