Joseph M. Sussman

The JR East Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Engineering Systems, Professor Sussman is a specialist in transportation systems and is one of the original strategic planners of the U.S. Intelligent Transportation System.

Thomas W. Eagar

The Thomas Lord Professor of Materials Engineering and Engineering Systems, Professor Eagar is an expert on advances in welding and joining of metals, ceramics and electronic materials.

Stephen G. Banzaert

An instructor at MIT's Edgerton Center, Banzaert is an expert on general engineering failures. He teaches a course called Enough Time to Fall: Spectacular Failures in Engineering and Other Experiments.

Herbert H. Einstein

A professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Einstein is an expert in underground construction, rock mechanics, engineering geology and risk analysis.
