Owen Cote, Jr.Security studies, military doctrine and forces, WMDs Owen Cote, Jr. is associate director of the MIT Security Studies Program. His expertise is in U.S. defense policy and international security. He has written often about the U.S. Navy (doctrine and capabilities), WMDs (what they are and are not) and nuclear weapons. Geoffrey FordenWeapons of mass destruction, strategic weapons analyst Geoffrey Forden is a research associate in MIT's program in Science, Technology and Society. His current research includes analyzing how proliferators acquire the know-how and industrial infrastructure to produce weapons of mass destruction. In 2002-2003, he served with the United Nations agency responsible for verifying and monitoring the dismantlement of Iraq's WMDs. Jim WalshTerrorism, international security; nuclear policy, Iran, North Korea Jim Walsh is a research associate at MIT's Security Studies Program. An expert on international security, especially topics involving weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, the Middle East and East Asia, he has visited Iran and North Korea and studies those countries' nuclear ambitions. He also works on other WMD proliferation issues. |
