Solar power helps relight Great Dome - A new lighting scheme will turn the iconic Great Dome of MIT's Building 10 into a "nighttime beacon," illuminating the dome, the Roman numerals 1916 and the limestone façade. President Susan Hockfield will flip the switch at a June 9 ceremony. June 6, 2007

Brief leak in Building 13 handled safely - Cambridge Fire Department personnel responded Friday, May 5, to a call to MIT's Building 13. The cause was a brief leak of silane gas in a lab at about 3:15 p.m. The leak caused sparks, but no injuries and no damage. May 5, 2006
