Horatio L. Bond
Private funeral services have been held for Horatio L. Bond, 90, a former member of the MIT Corporation, who died July 26 in Hyannis.
Mr. Bond, who received the SB degree in management in 1923, spent his career with the National Fire Protection Association, retiring in 1975. Mr. Bond was president of the Alumni/ae Association in 1953-54 and an alumni term member of the Corporation from 1954-59. He leaves his wife, Dorothy Gere Bond of West Hyannisport.
Santiago Gomez
Santiago Gomez, 87, of Newton, a retired service staff member at Lincoln Laboratory, died on July 10. He had worked at Lincoln from 1952 until his retirement in 1969. Survivors include two sons, Frank of Newton and Manuel Gomez of West Springfield.
John O. Hagan
A funeral Mass was held July 27 for John O. Hagan, 61, of Cambridge, a custodian in Physical Plant. Mr. Hagan died on July 23 following a long illness. He is survived by a son, John Hagan of Somerville, and two sisters.
Marion Hoxie
Marion Hoxie, 81, formerly of Cambridge, a retired support staff member in the Center for Space Research, died July 16 in Florida. Miss Hoxie worked at MIT from 1937 until her retirement in 1975. She leaves a brother, John A. Hoxie, in Florida.
William L. Spiers
William L. Spiers, 78, a retired guard foreman at Lincoln Laboratory, died July 19 in Venice, Fla. He was a former resident of Lexington and worked at Lincoln from 1951 until his retirement in 1976.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Holland Spiers; two daughters, Katherine C. Aurelio of Ipswich and Lesley A. Pitt of Rockport, Maine; two sons, Richard E. of Lexington and William H. Spiers of Cumberland, Maine, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
