february events

Next Service is hosting their third chili dinner on Sunday February 19 (the day before President's day). 5:30-7:30 in Next Dining, come enjoy tacos, chili, cornbread, and other tasty food for $5 a plate and $3 for each subsequent plate. We are also looking for lots of people to help out with the meal. Email Nadia Elkordy if you would like to help cook. Cooking will earn service hours for your wing, and all the money goes to the charity, so each plate you buy gets counted for your wing.

How It Works

The system works where every dollar raised is worth one point, and every hour spent on a Next Service project is worth 5 points in an effort to normalize service points by wing population, the East wings will have their final total unchanged, while 3W, 4W and 5W will have their totals multiplied by 1.125, and 2W will have their total multiplied by 1.35. Whichever wing has the most normalized points at the end of the month gets an ice cream study break. Whichever wing has the most normalized points at the end of the semester gets treated to a dinner with the housemasters.
