In honor of Next Act’s 25th Anniversary, Next Act will be reviving one of our earliest productions, the musical comedy Sweet Charity, which was first performed by Next Act in the spring of 1987 under the direction of Ivan Deutsch ’87. Sweet Charity follows the hilarious adventures and misadventures of Charity Hope Valentine, an unflappably positive girl looking for love in 1960s-era New York City. With classic hits like “Big Spender”, this whimsical tale is sure to be a wildly entertaining crowd pleaser.
