NSE’s Jacob DeWitte is one of Forbes magazine's 30 under 30 changing the world
NSE PhD student Jacob DeWitte has been named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list in the energy sector for 2014.
DeWitte, fellow NSE Ph.D. student Joseph Yurko and NSE alumna Caroline Cochran co-founded UPower, a company developing a 1.5 megawatt container-sized nuclear 'battery' that is designed to provide reliable and economic electricity and process heat for remote communities.
UPower won the infrastructure and resources category in the MIT Clean Energy Prize in 2013, and was the winning team in the Energy track in the MIT $100K competition.
