What were your interests in high school?
I always really enjoyed physics and math. I also loved history and writing.
What is your favorite activity outside of the classroom?
I am a ballet dancer with Harvard Ballet Company, and have danced since I was 5 years old.
Why did you decide to major in course 22?
I think course 22 provides us with many basic engineering skills, but with a strong physics background. There are also many fascinating research opportunities for undergrads in the department.
What is you most memorable experience so far as a course 22 student?
My sophomore year, I presented at the INES-4 conference in Japan. It was an incredible opportunity, and I learned a lot about nuclear materials research and many of the cool nuclear energy projects from around the world. There are also countless memories I have of working with my classmates on problem sets, projects, or just hanging out.
What would you like to do after graduating?
I am not sure yet — there are so many opportunities! I would like to work in industry for a few years then go back to graduate school in nuclear engineering.
