Kino Academy
|
Kino Academy is an NCA accredited high school for ages 14 to 21 and
11 months, and credits can be transferred to any other public school.
Kino offers both a virtual program and a regular program that are the
same except that the virtual program is done mostly online. In order
to attend the student must have been enrolled in a public school the
previous year, and the AIMS and Terranova tests are requirements.
Students take at least two classes at a time, and they must be completed
within a 60-day period. Two classes equal one credit, and 20 credits
are needed to graduate. If the student is in the virtual program, he
must physically go to class once a week, and if he is in the regular
program he must go every day. There are 22 students in each class with
certified instructors online and a teacher present to offer guidance
on the spot. Summer school is available for all students, regardless
of whether they are enrolled in another school for the fall. Applications
can be found online at
www.pin-ed.com
or can be picked up from the Academy.
