Legal Services
The Legal Services section outlines different organizations that can help you with legal problems such as divorce or child custody. In this section you will read about Legal Aid, Inc.

Legal Aid, Inc.
Legal Aid offers free legal services for eligible clients, and eligibility is based on income. Clients must be at or below 125% of the poverty level, which equals about $1000 monthly income, although eligibility can vary with the size of the family and other factors. Legal Aid deals mostly with domestic violence cases, but can also help with divorce and custody, paternity, visitation, taxes, emancipation and guardianship, child support, and landlord versus tenant issues. Tuesday mornings are intake days when people can make appointments to be seen. Due to the volume of cases that Legal Aid handles, they may not be able to serve everybody who comes to them.
