Brian is a graduate of Systems Design Engineering, University of Waterloo

Brian brings a unique blend of artistic and technical skills to MIT OEIT, with experience in feature film, national commercials, games and graphics programming.

Brian gained the majority of his film experience at PDI/DreamWorks, beginning as a programmer in the Research and Development Department in 1995. In 1997, he moved into the Modeling Department, where he contributed to Antz, Shrek, Shrek2 and Madagascar.

Some of his more notable character models are Shrek2's Fairy Godmother and Madagascar's Melman the Giraffe. While at DreamWorks, Brian also worked as a Technical Director and a Lighting TD, expanding his knowledge of the film making process.

In 2004, Brian joined LAIKA as a Senior Modeler. He contributed to numerous TV commercials, before working as a Technical Director on the production pipeline for LAIKA Entertainment. Brian eventually joined pre-production as Senior Modeler for Jack and Ben's Animated Adventure (unreleased, now cancelled).

Brian then moved to the Boston area to take on the role of Lead Character Artist for World of Zoo, a Nintento Wii release from Blue Fang Games.

Brian has taught classes in digital media at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the Boston University Center for Digital Arts, and is the co-founder of Stone Fence Studios.

Brian's career began with Alias Research, and, later Apple Computer, building the tools he uses today. Throughout his career, Brian has pursued his interest in drawing and sculpting, taking courses at the San Francisco Art Institute and the Art Gallery of Ontario School.
