6.3.1.4 Storm Beach

A storm beach is the beach material piled up by waves during high water (storms). Most material is moved during storms causing a reduction of beach deposit material during the storms and most of the deposition occurs during the receding storms. Storm beaches are usually berms in the backshore and substratified landward from the waterline and very interlayered by coarser material.
