The Vice President for Human Resources is responsible for the policies and programs that affect employees and their experience of work at the Institute. The Vice President for Human Resources also serves as the Institute's Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity officer.

Functional responsibilities of this position include recruitment and new employee orientation, benefits administration, compensation and reward programs, disability and workers' compensation services, employee/labor relations, employee career planning and organizational development, training, affirmative action and diversity programs, and the Center for Work, Family & Personal Life.
