Background Information
David Gordon is an Associate Director of Foundation Relations. He focuses on developing and strengthening relationships with a portfolio of private foundations, and is responsible for working with the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS) and the School of Architecture and Planning (SAP). Before coming to MIT in the fall of 2002, he had worked for over four years as a front-line development officer in the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Brandeis University, where he was the lead representative to dozens of major national foundations in the New York and Mid-Atlantic Region. In all, he brings to MIT over ten years of fundraising experience and an extensive background in non-profit management and policymaking work.
