Before joining the Office of Foundation Relations in the fall of 2006, she worked for over three years as a senior research analyst in MIT's Office of Development Research and Systems. Prior to coming to MIT, Tami served as acquisitions editor for linguistics at Blackwell Publishing for several years; she began her career as assistant professor of linguistics at the University of Iowa.
