Industrial Advisory Council for Minority Education (IACME)

In an effort to create an effective way for more widespread, direct and structured involvement of industry in the educational development of MIT students, the Office of Minority Education (OME) established the Industrial Advisory Council for Minority Education (IACME) in the fall of the 1990/91 academic year. The IACME serves as an advisory body to the OME. The IACME mission is to help ensure greater retention and higher academic achievement of MIT underrepresented minority students through active support of, and participation in, the realization of the OME mission and goals.
