Second Summer Program (SSP)

Second Summer is an academic program that enriches and supports students' intellectual growth while helping them develop a keener sense of their professional possibilities. Program interns experientially learn engineering and design development processes, explore possible fields of interest, enjoy the satisfaction of making real contributions in the workplace, and return to their classrooms in the fall with a depth of experience that greatly enhances their learning. Interns, worksite supervisors, MIT faculty site visitors, and company representatives praise the program for the clear benefits gained by all parties - real learning and real work, with solid results.
