Requirements Phase

This is the initial phase of the development process wherein the development team works closely with the customer to determine the customer's requirements for the product. The requirements phase identifies the functionality, performance levels, and other characteristics which the product must satisfy in order for it to be acceptable to the customer. N.B. The requirements developed in this phase serve as a foundation for the remaining phases of the development process, and as the customer acceptance criteria.
