Georgia Perakis
Assistant Professor of Operations Research

Georgia Perakis received her PhD in applied mathematics in 1993 from the applied mathematics department at Brown University. From 1993-1998, she taught at Brown University as well as at MIT as a visiting assistant professor and had a postdoctoral appointment at the Operations Research Center at MIT. Since the summer of 1998, she is an assistant professor of Operations Research at the Sloan School of Management as well as a member of the Operations Research Center at MIT. She is a member of INFORMS, SIAM, AMS and MPS and an associate editor for Management Science.

Her research and teaching interests include problems in continuous optimization, integer programming, as well as their applications in transportation and pricing.
