Eitan Zemel

Eitan Zemel is the W. Edwards Deming Professor of Quality and Productivity at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University, and Chair of the Operations Management and Information Systems Departments. Professor Zemel Joined the Stern School in 1998.

Prior to joining the Stern School, Professor Zemel served as the Harold L. Stuart Professor of Operations Research at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, which he joined in 1976. At Kellogg, he co-chaired the steering committee which had conceived, designed, and implemented the Kellogg-McCormick joint Master of Management in Manufacturing Program and had served as its co-director from 1990 until 1998.

Professor Zemel holds a doctorate in Operations Research from the Graduate School of Business Administration, Carnegie Mellon University, a Masters in applied physics from the Weitzmann Institute of Science, and a B.Sc. in mathematics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
