BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Professor E. Andrew Boyd
Dr. Boyd joined PROS Revenue
Management in January of 1997 following 9 years as a university professor.
Since that time he has headed the scientific efforts for all of PROS’ products,
growing the Science and Research group to some 30 advanced degree recipients in
Economics, Operations Research, Quantitative Marketing, and Statistics. He and
his group have been actively involved in the design and implementation of PROS’
core science platform, which serves as the foundation for all product offerings
in over 10 industry segments. Dr. Boyd
was one of the original designers of the CPlex linear programming library. He
was founding president of the INFORMS Section on Revenue Management, and
maintains formal affiliations with the Texas A&M University Department of
Industrial Engineering and the University of Houston Department of Mathematics.
He has over 20 publications to his credit, including articles in Operations Research, Mathematical
Programming, and the SIAM Journal on
Optimization.
Dr. Boyd received his A.B. with Honors at
Oberlin College with majors in Mathematics and Economics in 1981, and his Ph.D.
in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1987.
