BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Professor. John Vande Vate

Professor John H. Vande Vate is a Professor in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also the founder and Executive Director of the Executive Master's in International Logistics (EMIL). He received his Ph.D. from the Operations Research Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is currently visiting the Sloan School. Dr. Vande Vate has also held visiting positions with the Graduate School of Industrial Administration at Carnegie Mellon University, the Department of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh and the Department of Systems Engineering at the Shanghai Institute of Mechanical Engineering.  He has published in a variety of fields including Optimization, Biology, Economics, Queueing Systems, Mechanics and Computer Science.
