BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Lisa Fleischer
Lisa Fleischer is a Research Staff Member at the T. J. Watson
Research Center, IBM. Her research is on algorithms for problems
in network routing and design, combinatorial optimization, linear
programming, and game theory. She received her PhD from Cornell
University in 1997. Since then, she has held faculty positions
at Carnegie Mellon University and Columbia University, and visiting
positions at Center for Operations Research and Econometrics in
Louvain la Neuve, Belgium, and the Fields Institute for Mathematical
Sciences in Toronto, Canada. She was a recipient of an NSF CAREER
Award, the 1997 INFORMS George Nicholson Prize, and the 2003 MPS
Fulkerson Prize. She is a council member of the Mathematical Programming
Society, and serves on the editorial boards of Mathematics of Operations
Research, Operations Research, and Operations Research Letters.
