Petar Momcilovic is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering
and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. After receiving
a PhD degree from Columbia University in 2003, he spent a year
at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center as a postdoctoral fellow. His
current research interests include large-scale networks, the QED
regime in queueing, and point-process communication systems. In
anticipation of the World Cup this summer he plays as a libero
on a disorganized soccer team with a 0-10 record this season.
