BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Erol Peköz
Erol Peköz is Associate Professor of Operations and Technology
Management at Boston University, and is currently on sabbatical
serving as Visiting Associate Professor of Statistics at Harvard
University. He received a BS degree from Cornell University, and
MS and Ph.D degrees in Operations Research from University of California,
Berkeley. He conducts research in the areas of applied probability
and statistics, and has been funded by the Department of Health
and Human Services, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality,
the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Veterans Health Administration.
He is also currently writing an outrageously best-selling textbook
tentatively titled “The Manager’s Common Sense Guide
to Statistics.”
