Baris Ata is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at
Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, where he
has been since 2003. He received BS in Industrial Engineering (1997)
from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, and MS in EES & OR
(1999), Business Research (2000), Mathematics (2001) and Statistics
(2002), and Ph.D. in Business Administration (2003) from Stanford
University. His research focuses on two areas: dynamic control
of manufacturing, service and communication systems; and revenue
management.
