BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

John Liechty

John Liechty is currently an associate professor of marketing and statistics at the Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University. He received his Ph.D in Mathematical Statistics in 1998 at Cambridge University and in 1999, he was a finalist for the American Statistical Association Savage Award Dissertation Prize. He was also a finalist for the Paul Green Award in 2005 and 2001, for the best paper in the Journal of Marketing Research and a finalist for the John D. Little Award in 2004 for the best paper in Marketing Science. In addition, he is a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. Outside of academia the has held several consulting assignments, most recently with Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
