Dr. Hung-po Chao is Director, Market Strategy and Analysis, at the ISO New England in the United States. From 2005 to 2008, he was Director, Market Monitoring, at the ISO. Before joining the ISO, Dr. Chao held various research and management positions at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and was a Consulting Professor at Stanford University during 1996-2005. He is serving on the Editorial Board of Journal of Regulatory Economics. He has served on the Editor Boards of Operations Research and Energy Journal. He has also served as Chair on the INFORMS Prize Committee and Chair on a Steering Committees for NSF. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research with Economics minor from Stanford University.
