Kamal Jain is a Principal Researcher in Microsoft Research Center in Redmond. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 2000 with a PhD in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization, an interdisciplinary program run by CS, Math, and OR department. Kamal’s research interests are also interdisciplinary, spanning both theory and practice. These days he is working on algorithmic economics, an interdisciplinary research area between CS and Economics. He is also looking how some of the modern business models, which are possible by the high-tech, affect people decisions.
